I've been ripping and posting discs since God was a boy, posting to usenet
and nowadays to the torrent world.
I have always used AudioGrabber, it's Freeware nowadays but I started using
it so long ago that I PURCHASED it from the developer and even helped with
usability when they wrote karaoke ripping code into it (never very successful).
Have new audio here that I need to rip, and I've found that AudioGrabber is
not doing the job for me properly.
The sound is weighted to the left hand channel, as though I've turned the
balance control right across.
Hard rebooted the computer just in case but the result's the same.
Used my karaoke ripper (Power CD+G Burner 2) and that ripped the music
CD perfectly with no bias to either channel.
My ultra-reliable ripper has let me down - and I have never used another.
SO.!!!!!
Recommendations please for a CD ripper.
It must have, for me:
a. Normalisation which can be applied when necessary.
b. The facility to rip a tracked/mixed CD (like MasterMix and DMC) into
either separate tracks or a continuous mix.
I'm not too worried about Database lookups or naming facilities, when I rip it's obscure discs outo f my garage or brand new stuff that hasn't hit the DBs as yet.
