NexusWraith Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 I am trying to upload my first video torrent (my second torrent ever). I think I have filled out everything correctly, but when I click the "Upload" button, the next screen says "ERROR: PARSE_OPEN". Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Screenshots of the upload form and the torrent creation dialogue are below. Thank you.
NexusWraith Posted April 4, 2022 Author Report Posted April 4, 2022 Still getting "ERROR: PARSE_OPEN" when I try to upload a torrent.
B4ND1T69 Posted April 5, 2022 Report Posted April 5, 2022 I don't use an .NFO file myself so you could try adding that as a seperate file in your upload as it could be the issue...? (make a folder and put your upload and NFO file into that then upload it) Also you only need the ttnumber for iMBD to work here (see below) https ://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089243/ << just add the ttnumber in green, not the full address(y) Try doing the above suggestions and see if it helps;) Good luck 1
Prom3th3uS Posted April 6, 2022 Report Posted April 6, 2022 IMDb link is correct, no issue with that, we allow links and the ID both. Maybe, it's an issue while creating, which means, there might reading issue or the .torrent has unsupported charters or size not supported! Try uTorrent, BitTorrent client, keep the torrent folder title plain and clean, no symbols or weird charters/letters should be there. Keep the data onto another Drive/partition instead of a C partition. Lastly, make sure, the .nfo file is not damaged or out of limited size, you can add it later, but first, try uploading a torrent, if you see the same issue, then try the above suggestions and then try. BTW, what is the size of the music folder? because using the correct piece while torrent creation is the important part!

In order: The torrent is named "RiffTrax.-.Gymkata.(1985).torrent", so that should not be a problem. The torrent was created by qBittorrent. That should not be a problem. (However, see my question at the end). The files are all togetehr on the same partition. I am not sure how that is relevant. Other than network shares or low-level stuff like formatting and RAIDs, I have never heard of the partition mattering to day-to-day stuff like this. The .nfo is just normal text, and it's 1.90 KB (1,954 bytes). I don't see how that could be a problem. Finally, there is no music file. It's a torrent of a video file. Here are the contents: [iCODE] 2022-03-11 15:24 83,002 RiffTrax - Gymkata (1985).jpg 2020-10-14 15:05 75,263,982 RiffTrax - Gymkata (1985).mp3 2022-04-06 14:01 1,587,505,884 RiffTrax - Gymkata (1985).mp4 2022-04-06 14:08 1,954 RiffTrax - Gymkata (1985).nfo 2011-03-13 21:42 28,451 RiffTrax - Gymkata (1985).srt 2020-10-14 15:03 2,805 RiffTrax - Gymkata (1985).txt 2021-09-27 16:26 237 Torrent Downloaded from Glodls.to.txt 2021-09-27 14:11 58 Torrent_downloaded_from_Demonoid.is_.txt 8 File(s) 1,662,886,373 bytes [/iCODE] I do have a question. There are several options when creating the torrent. I left most of them as the default. If any of these need to be set to something specific, please let me know. * Torrent format (options are V2, Hybrid, V1): Hybrid (default) * Piece size: Auto (default) * Private torrent: not selected (default) * Star seeding immediately: selected (default) * Ignore share ratio limits: selected (default) * Tracker URLs: a list of trackers * Web seed URLs: blank (default) * Comments: blank (default) * Source: blank (default) Thank you.
Prom3th3uS Posted April 6, 2022 Report Posted April 6, 2022 "RiffTrax.-.Gymkata.(1985).torrent" Worth try. Change the title. RiffTrax Gymkata (1985) now creates torrent. and try! and use uTorrent or BitTorrent, qbittorrent new versions are buggy. other answers will be delivered soon.
NexusWraith Posted April 14, 2022 Author Report Posted April 14, 2022 Well sonovabish. I re-created the torrent with uTorrent, and it uploaded just fine. Live and learn! 1
